I Feel Old Today...

As I was preparing to get in the shower I was looking in the mirror and towards the front of my hair line I saw something glisten at me.

Yes, you read that right, glisten...

Glistened right at me.

I dug around a little bit, found the root and pulled it out.

Yes, I did, indeed pull out my first gray hair today. The hair was about 3" long and half of it was gray. GRAY, people! I'm not like my sister-in-law Shelley that happens to like her 5 gray hairs. I'm not ready to accept this. She's almost 30 and just started getting gray, I won't be 25 for 4 more months!

I'm not ready, nope nope nope nope....

Gray hair...sigh, I know what you mean, but I don't know that I have gotten any yet. I thought I had one once and I pulled it out too, but I haven't seen any since that one time. But I think that when it starts happening, I might dye my hair! Or highlight, which I haven't done since I was in high school. It's hard when you ahve dark hair because then it shows up more obviously! I know the bible talks about gray hair being like a crown of splender (prov. 16:31), but it's a hard transition to make. Especially in our culture where youth is so glorified and age and the older folks are not looked up to and respected like they used to be. ANyways, God has a reason for everything... but I heard somewhere that gray hair comes about by stress...don'tknow if this is true, never researched it, but that's what I've heard. ANyways, so we should try to live as stressfree as possible, if nothing else just to preserve our hair color, but it's hard to do--not stress that is...be anxious for nothing, God please help us!

he he! Apparently your hair sees my hair as a role model and wants to be just like me! I never knew the influence I had.

I must remember to use my powers for good and not evil!

On a more serious note, sorry dude! I know that Kevin started going gray at about 22 and he's about 25% now. It's genetics working against you!
