Opinions Needed!

I've been experimenting lately with knitting vs. crocheting and all sorts of different patterns. Some hats have turned pretty cute, others, not-so-much. It's hard only having 2 head sizes (Kyle's and my head are the same size) around here and only one cooperative person. Maddox sees me coming with a hat to try on his head and he runs. Yes, runs.

So, I made a hat in my size and I think it turned out cute, but I need some opinions.

What's your opinion? Should I take the brim off? Should the brim be wider? Ultimately, I just want to make these for little girls with a flower on the side (like the one from my post further down). I make a totally different style for boys, this is a little on the girley side in m opinion.

DUDE!!!!!!!! I totally was going to ask you to make one of those for me!!! I want one sooooo badly! I have a tiny lil head and can't find any hats to fit me.

I think you should make 'em for adults too!

And I thought it looked pretty good. Maybe the brim could be a tiny bit longer? I don't know. I just loved it!

so stinkin cute!!
how much are you selling them for? i would love one in my size (= seriously!
the brim might look better a bit wider.
or you could just see who orders them and have them give you their measurements...

Sweet, I'm glad you guys like it and of course I'll make one for both of you. You're my Guinea Pigs! I always wanted Guinea Pigs! Muahhaha....

What color do you want and do you want a flower on it?

Oh, I need the circumferences of your heads so that I can make them the right size.

Hey Emily--you're very good at making those hats. They are very cute as everyone else has already said. I think you look very cute in it, and I like it the way it is:) You should totally sell those, they look great!

Good job! I think it looks great! I love the color of it :-) If I didn't have such a huge stupid head, I'd have you make one for me, but my head looks retarded in hats haha, so oh well :-)

Shelley- I actually am low on yarn right now, so am going to put in an order soon. Go to www.knitpicks.com and look under "cotton & blends", I will order either the Shine Sports Yarn, the Cotlin Yarn, or the Comfy yarn. You pick the color.

Anybody else- you can pick your color, too. For measurements, measure where the hat would sit. Like, around your forehead, ears and back of your head. I'll do the measurement based around the bottom row of the hat. And, also, do you want it snug or a bit looser? The one in the picture is pretty snug on my head, the first one was a bit looser, my personal preference would be one in between the 2.

The funny thing is, I don't even wear hats :-p

ok...for the shine sport I like harbor, leapfrog, terracotta & holly berry.

for the comfy I like cashew & blackberry.

for the cotlin I like moraccan red, linen & key lime.

Of all of them the shine sport is my favorite color group and if you ever wanted to make me anything in any of those colors...well...I would probably squeal loud enough for you to hear it all the way in Oregon.

I'll have Kevin help measure my head tonight.

So cute!! I love those hats!! Yeah I think the brim could be a little wider too, but it's so adorable! Well done Emily. I'm in a knitting phase right now too. I'm knitting longies and soakers to go over my cloth diapers ( my other obsession!)
